The food "project" was born in 1986 as a simple laboratory of microbiology. From the very beginning, in addition to the analysis activities, the consultancy activity for the food industries was developed, proposing and implementing innovative quality control systems based on the HACCP model in the field. Over the years, the laboratory continued to adapt to the new regulatory framework and in 1996 obtained the inclusion in the list of the Ministry of Health as a laboratory qualified to perform tests of hygiene and health control on food products. Finally, in 1999, the new company Progetto Alimenti was founded, also thanks to the collaboration with other professional figures. Progetto Alimenti operates in the sector according to three points of intervention. • Specialized analysis laboratory on all food matrices with methods validated according to international standards. • Consultancy at companies, in close contact with entrepreneurs and employees. • Training courses for personnel involved in the preparation and use of food.

S.M. Scienzia Machinale

S.M. Scienzia Machinale Srl was founded in 1990 by a group of young researchers from the Robotics laboratories of the Scuola S.Anna and began its independent journey as a partner in a series of European projects in the field of medical robotics applications. A few years later, he entered the industry and made his know-how and staff available to search for innovative solutions on behalf of third parties. In 2004, he founded Fabrica Machinale, a company currently operating in service robotics with its own industrial products marketed under the brand name Roboticom. Scienzia Machinale currently operates on the market under two brands, Novamentis and Sensometrico. Novamentis offers contract design and engineering R&D services in the field of mechatronics and robotics, while Sensometrico designs, manufactures and offers on the market measuring instruments for mechanical and tribological characteristics of materials based on patented methodologies and techniques. Since 2015, it has been part of a multinational group of companies, whose parent company is the U.S. Epica International Inc.

West Systems S.r.l. was founded in 1988 developing technological solutions in the applied electronics sector in various fields, in particular geological and environmental sciences. Currently it operates at a global level both in the provision of environmental consulting services and in the design and implementation of instrumentation, in the fields: -sampling and chemical-physical, isotopic and radio-isotopic characterization of atmospheric particles and other environmental matrices; -traceability of food products; -environmental radioactivity: services and instrumentation for the monitoring and characterisation of natural radioactivity and radionuclide pollution of all environmental matrices; -environment: implementation of instrumentation for the measurement of chemical-physical parameters of soil, water and atmosphere. Provision of services and instrumentation for the study of gaseous exchanges at the soil-atmosphere interface in the fields of volcanology, geothermal energy, MSW landfills, polluted sites; -dosimetry: design and development of instrumentation for the measurement of ionizing and non-ionizing radiation; -process automation.
