Overview:
EspiKem Srl, founded in 2003 as a spin-off of the University of Florence, is a third party research organization that deals with the design, synthesis, characterization and marketing of peptides and their analogues of pharmaceutical and biomedical interest. Thanks to the skills of a young and motivated staff, who have access to specialized techniques and equipment, Espikem offers a high quality service including analysis, synthesis of peptides, proteins and other biochemical molecules, especially with regard to modified peptides (glycopeptides, lipopeptides, etc.).
Espikem works in close collaboration with the Laboratory of Chemistry and Biology of Peptides and Proteins at the University of Florence (Peptlab), a multidisciplinary technological platform for the science of peptides, strongly active in the study of molecular mechanisms of autoimmune diseases and in the development of biomarkers.
