Founded in Florence in 1982, Dedalus Spa is now head of an international industrial group leader in clinical healthcare software and holds important positions in all segments of the public and private healthcare market. Dedalus develops software solutions in the name of interoperability and cooperation between general medicine systems, territorial systems and hospital systems, facilitating the optimization of administrative management as well as the administration of the best care thanks to the constant and real-time exchange of fundamental information on the patient in all phases of his life: birth, growth, maturity and seniority. Dedalus' activities are divided into three strategic areas with a view to interoperability: Territorial Medicine, Clinical Area and Health Area. Dedalus is also very active in the field of diagnostic information systems.
Since 2006, Dedalus has started a project of aggregation of the best companies operating in the Italian healthcare ICT sector, which was completed in 2017 with the acquisition first of the majority of Noemalife and then with the process of integration of the two entities that led to the birth of the largest operator in the Hospital Information System sector in Europe, with 160 M of turnover and 1600 employees (600 in R&D).
Since 2009, Dedalus has also started an internationalization process with its own solution for interoperability and X-Value application cooperation, which has led to direct activities, offices and people, in 25 countries on four continents. With more than 1500 client hospitals worldwide in 30 countries, hundreds of Health Authorities and more than 23,000 general practitioners in Italy, Dedalus represents the highest level of experience and functional completeness in the field of systems supporting healthcare clinical processes. Today Dedalus is the market leader in software systems for general practitioners and paediatricians of free choice (through Millennium srl), in the software for private healthcare facilities and in the Italian public sector and in several other countries. With more than 1000 employees, including over 250 abroad, Dedalus supports its customers on a daily basis in its main strategic business areas: local medicine, clinic, healthcare and interoperability areas.
