SCLAVO Diagnostics International is a partner to DASIT Group, an organization entirely financed with Italian capital, together with other leading in-vitro diagnostic organizations such as DASIT S.p.A., Axa Diagnostics, CARLO ERBA Reagents S.r.l. and FASTER S.r.l. SCLAVO Diagnostics International develops, manufactures and sells in-vitro diagnostics reagents and instruments for clinical chemistry, specific and urinary proteins (turbidimetry, nephelometry), coagulation, serology, autoimmunity (ELISA/IFA). The production cycle is fully managed and controlled in-house, starting from the purchase of raw materials, through their preparation steps all the way to the finished products. SCLAVO Diagnostics can also supply products as OEM (bulk or in pre-filled unlabeled vials) or Private Label (in compliance with the specific packaging and labeling requested by the customer), together with systems validation, lyophilization, bacterial cultures, setting up of immunization protocols services.

Profile:

Achille Sclavo develops the serum against anthrax in 1904 and founds the Istituto Sieroterapico e Vaccinogeno Toscano. In 1929, the Sclavo Institute begins producing the anatoxin against diphtheria and tetanus and later, the smallpox vaccine. In 1934, the first diagnostic products are developed and in 1977, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration grants the registration of these products.In 1992, Sclavo Diagnostics International commences business, and in 2003 the plant is moved to the new, technologically avant-garde site in Sovicille (province of Siena). On June 1, 2004, Sclavo becomes a partner in the DASIT Group. Own products: - Clinical Chemistry & Specific Proteins: Sclavo Palio family fully automated clinical chemistry analyzers and relative reagents. All the instruments are equipped with barcode reader for samples and reagents, cooling reagents rotor and complete PC. As an option, ISE module can be installed. - Coagulation Systems & Reagents: Kos coagulometers analysers with 1 and 2 channels complete system for coagulation. Reagents for the determination of haemostasis: all of the reagents are equipped with barcode label and offered in diversified packages in order to allow each laboratory to choose the most suitable kit for their workload. Applications to several other coagulometers on the market are available. - Serology & Bacteriology: Febrile Antigen Multikit (serological diagnosis of Typhoid and paratyphoid infections, Brucellosis, Rickettsiosis and Listeriosis) Strepto/Staphylo (Latex agglutination test for the identification of Streptococci of groups A,B,C,D,F,G) Legionella pneumophila sg. 1-6 IFA Syphilis Diagnosis - Cell Biology – Platelet lysate: cell culture supplement, Lyset Kit is a sterile freeze-dried human platelet lysate, a blood derived product which is prepared from platelets isolated from Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), that modulates different biological functions, including cell chemo-attraction, cell proliferation, extracellular matrix synthesis, cell recruitment and induction of angiogenesis. Sclavo can also provide certified applications of its reagents for specific laboratory instrument. - OEM products: Sclavo can provide certified OEM (bulk or in pre-filled unlabeled vials) or Private Label: reagents for clinical chemistry, immuno-turbidimetry (classical or latex), serology in Bulk format. The reagents can be also supplied in liquid form (if it is possible) or in lyophilized form. -Services: for its partners and distributors Sclavo can provide systems validation, lyophilization, bacterial cultures, setting up of immunization protocols for obtaining immune sera, fermentation (bacterial cultures complete recovering, concentration of the growth medium, separation and concentration of the secreted proteins)
